Kathmandu, April 23: Lawmakers representing from the mountainous region have demanded the federal government alter timing of academic calendar within the mountainous region. 

In a gathering at present with the Minister of Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel on the ministry, lawmakers urged the federal government to handle academic calendar aligning with erratic climate situation within the region. 

Heavy snowfall that happens within the Himalayan districts from mid-November to mid-February straight impacts college operations, pupil attendance and total academic calendar, they shared, arguing the necessity for contemplating modifications within the calendar timing. 

In addition, the lawmakers requested the Education Minister to facilitate to deal with sensible difficulties persist in pupil studying, academic infrastructure and useful resource administration within the Himalayan region.
