This reprint assortment marks the sixtieth anniversary of the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) in South Korea. It consists of 4 papers printed in Nature Portfolio journals that report some of the numerous advances made by KIST researchers in fields as various as synthesis of fibres by growth-packing, semiconductor logic, transmission electron microscopy and sensors for closed-loop transcranial ultrasound neurostimulation. A characteristic highlights KIST analysis on AI-driven wearable robots, Alzheimer’s illness drug candidates, membranes for hydrogen gasoline cells, and spintronics expertise.
