Korea will search to broaden cooperation with Finland in science via a strategic partnership, specializing in quantum and sixth-generation community applied sciences, Seoul’s vice science minister stated Friday.
First Vice Science Minister Koo Hyuk-chae made the comment throughout a gathering with Antti Vasara, the Finnish particular envoy for know-how, in Seoul to debate methods to broaden bilateral cooperation in cutting-edge applied sciences.
The Ministry of Science and ICT stated the assembly was organized at Helsinki’s request, because the European nation goals to bolster ties with Korea, which holds competitiveness in so-called recreation changer sectors, equivalent to quantum, 6G networks and synthetic intelligence (AI).
“Quantum, 6G and cybersecurity are core strategic technologies for leadership in future digital competition, and none of them should lose balance in the future digital ecosystem,” Koo stated in a launch.
“By combining Korea’s manufacturing and operational capacity with Finland’s core technologies, security competitiveness and philosophy, we hope to design a safe and intelligent future network,” Koo added.
In response, Vasara expressed hope for closer bilateral ties throughout the basic meeting of the Quantum Information Network Standard Association scheduled to be held in Finland in May.
