The San Diego City College girls’s tennis staff (14-7, 10-0) traveled to and misplaced to Santa Barbara (16-2, 11-2) on Tuesday, April 7.

The straight-set loss, 5-0, was a part of the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional Quarterfinals. 

Though the staff has not managed to depart with a win in the 3C2A for the previous three seasons, head coach Jami Jones was happy with what her staff was in a position to accomplish.

“I am proud of my team and how they performed throughout the season, ” Jones mentioned. “All of my players were hardworking and committed and showed great improvement over the past year.”

Baseball

The City baseball staff (11-20, 4-13) will play on Thursday, April 16, at house in opposition to Grossmont (20-12, 12-5) at 2 p.m. in the Morley Field Sports Complex

The Knights are on the lookout for their first win in opposition to their convention rival, who gained its final seven earlier matchups in opposition to City. 

Grossmont is presently second in the convention standings, whereas City is second to final in convention standings, solely forward of Imperial Valley.

Softball

City’s softball staff (9-24, 1-11) will play on Thursday, April 16, at house in opposition to Grossmont (5-16, 5-7) at 3 p.m. at the Betty Hock Field.

The Knights misplaced their earlier matchup, a 5-0 loss at Grossmont on March 19.
