Jane Fonda is sharing her views on the proposed Paramount Warner Bros. merger, together with her private connection to the matter.
On Sunday, March 15, the acclaimed actress, 88, spoke to Variety concerning the $110 billion deal for Paramount to buy Warner Bros. whereas on the purple carpet on the Vanity Fair Oscars get together.
“The mergers are going to be bad for workers, a lot of people are going to lose their jobs, we’re going to have higher prices, we’re going to have political control over what we do,” Fonda, who was carrying a pin that learn “Block the Merger,” remarked.

“That’s why [Pete] Hegseth, the Secretary of Defense, said, ‘NCS can’t come soon enough to be under the control of Paramount,” she continued, referring to how NCS is underneath the Warner Bros. umbrella. “Because we know that [Donald] Trump wants to hurt.”
The activist, who was beforehand married to Ted Turner, the founding father of NCS, joked, “I mean, I slept with the guy who created it. I have a personal stake in it.”
Fonda and Turner wed in 1991 and divorced in 2001.

Additionally, the Monster in Law actress mentioned NCS “did not take positions” and as an alternative “reported the news.”
Speaking about her pin, Fonda advised Variety she was carrying it for “any merger, not necessarily just the Paramount merger,” however famous, “the Paramount merger is really problematic.”
