RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Jacobs Entertainment has begun constructing the flat fields that can make up their youth sports initiative.

The firm introduced Monday that construction on the fields has begun, and that the primary youth soccer event weekend formally begins June 6.

“This will be a very strong summer season for downtown Reno,” mentioned Richard Jacobs, assistant director of gross sales and particular occasions at J Resort. “We’re anticipating a significant jump in hotel demand during major events, including this year’s U.S. Bowling Open. Youth sports weekends alone are expected to drive substantial overnight visitation and economic activity for downtown Reno’s businesses. Between sports, concerts, public art, and new amenities, it’s exciting to see downtown continue to grow as a vibrant place to live, work, and play.”

The firm says they finally plan to develop as much as 12 fields over the subsequent six years to accommodate 7 on 7, 9 on 9, and 11 on 11 play.
