‘It’s a big deal’: Election expert weighs in on the Supreme Court case that could upend midterms
On Monday, the Supreme Court heard arguments in a problem to a Mississippi regulation that permits mail-in ballots to be counted as much as 5 days after an election. UCLA professor and election regulation expert Rick Hasen spoke with Laura Coates about the arguments. Hasen says that if the courts rule that ballots should be acquired by the election board by election day, greater than a dozen states should change the means they administer elections.
