Kathmandu, June 18: Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation, Mahabir Pun, has shared that country’s economic system might be improved by investing in innovation sector.
Responding to queries raised in course of debate on Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation underneath Appropriation Bill in at the moment’s assembly of the House of Representatives, Minister Pun prompt all three-tier authorities to allocate one per cent funds of their capital funds for science and innovation growth.
He talked about that offering means and sources together with applicable surroundings for human sources having modern thought for artistic works is innovation.
Pointing out the necessity of cooperation and collaboration of all to make innovation efficient, the Science and Technology Minister underlined, “Laws, acts and rules related to innovation should be made to start the activities related to science and innovation.”
He shared that preparation has been made to make 9 rules associated to innovation based mostly on the rules of Science and Technology Statistics Act, Nepal Government Work Division Regulations, 2083.
The Ministry has a plan to introduce Science, know-how and Innovation Act, 2083, Science Act, Atomic Energy Act, National Research and Development Act, in addition to different obligatory acts, he talked about.
Minister Pun seen that infrastructure growth and formulating legal guidelines are essential to make Ministry’s actions efficient.
