The interim Venezuelan government has freed at least 4 Americans who had been imprisoned in Venezuela, a supply conversant in the matter informed NCS on Tuesday.

It marks the primary recognized launch of American detainees because the ouster of Nicolás Maduro and comes because the interim Venezuelan government, led by Delcy Rodríguez, has begun releasing dozens of political prisoners.

NCS beforehand reported that at least five Americans had been detained in Venezuela in current months. The Maduro government had an extended historical past of detaining Americans for use for political leverage with the US government.
