LONDON : The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) and the Marine Society are happy to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the start of a collaborative partnership devoted to supporting the skilled progress and well-being of seafarers and aspiring maritime professionals.

This MOU establishes a strategic framework for cooperation between the 2 organisations to:
Support the skilled development and welfare of maritime staff and these pursuing careers at sea
Promote shared initiatives and assets that advance schooling, expertise, and engagement throughout the worldwide maritime group.

Explore joint alternatives aligned with the missions and values of each the Marine Society and IMarEST, strengthening their collective affect throughout the sector. Chris Goldsworthy CEng CMarEng FIMarEST, Chief Executive of IMarEST, mentioned, “A shared vision and a signed commitment mark the beginning of a strong and aligned relationship with the Marine Society.”

Darrell Bate, Director of Maritime Training and Development on the Marine Society, added, “Marine Society welcomes this exciting new partnership between our organisations which serves to benefit our users and beneficiaries. We look forward to collaborating with IMarEST across a range of opportunities and strengthening the ties between us.”

The preliminary collaboration will concentrate on creating significant studying assets linked to profession pathways throughout the seafarer career, with additional bulletins to observe.
