Indonesia, JICA deepen higher training ties

Indonesia’s Higher Education, Science and Technology Ministry has stepped up cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency to strengthen research, tutorial partnerships and {industry} collaboration, officers mentioned.

The initiative was mentioned throughout a latest assembly between Minister Brian Yuliarto and JICA Chief Representative Sachiko Takeda, in keeping with a ministry assertion launched Saturday.

Yuliarto praised the long-standing partnership with JICA, which has included infrastructure upgrades, growth of research amenities and capability constructing at Indonesian universities by means of hyperlinks with Japanese campuses and firms.

“We are open to receiving input from JICA or having experts help identify priority sectors that Indonesia needs to develop,” Yuliarto mentioned.

“We aim to strengthen industry-academia collaboration by involving Japanese companies,” Takeda mentioned.

Officials mentioned sustained cooperation is predicted to bolster Indonesia’s research and innovation ecosystem, develop non-public sector participation and enhance equitable entry to high quality higher training nationwide.
