The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology and the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) have allotted Rp57 billion (US$3.51 million) to fund 122 university research applications to strengthen the nationwide innovation ecosystem.

The funding is distributed by means of the Bestari Saintek Program, launched alongside the broader Semesta Program below the 2026 state finances funding scheme in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The ministry’s Director General of Science and Technology Ahmad Najib Burhani stated this system captured grassroots innovation by means of a extremely aggressive choice course of.

A complete of 122 research groups had been chosen involving 854 lecturers and tutorial staffs, and supported by 341 major and supporting companions throughout numerous sectors.
