Staff from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) have been recognised for their achievements with an award within the King’s Birthday Honours and commendations by the Vice Chief of the Defence Staff (VCDS).

Nicholas Goddard, a principal scientist specialising in underwater techniques, has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). Nicolas works on present and future era submarines and is closely concerned with worldwide analysis and growth.

The VCDS recommended Nick Barrett and one other Dstl worker for their contributions to Defence.
