Ho Chi Minh City Innovation and Startup Support Center (SIHUB) beneath the HCMC Department of Science and Technology and Canva, the global design unicorn from New South Wales, signed a strategic cooperation settlement.

Speaking on the signing ceremony on the afternoon of December 11, Director of municipal Department of Science and Technology Lam Dinh Thang emphasised that Ho Chi Minh City is coming into a brand new improvement section with the aspiration to become a number one regional hub for innovation, expertise and digital transformation, with science and digitalization driving development.

Science, innovation and digitalization are key development drivers underpinning town’s methods for digital authorities, digital economic system, and digital society. The settlement with Canva marks a tangible milestone towards realizing this imaginative and prescient.

The partnership with Canva strengthens town’s innovation ecosystem, giving native startups, SMEs, educators and inventive professionals entry to international-standard instruments and abilities.

Part of a broader Ho Chi Minh City–New South Wales partnership, supported by Investment NSW, the New South Wales authorities’s main funding and commerce promotion company and the Australian Consulate, this system aims to enhance commerce, funding, schooling and improvement of high-quality human sources.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology Lam Dinh Thang affirmed town’s dedication to partnering with global tech firms, together with Canva, to co-create modern options and merchandise that serve residents, companies, and the group effectively and sustainably.

Ms. Elle Liu, Country Lead of Vietnam at Canva, mentioned the corporate will perform coaching packages, artistic competitions and community-building initiatives to assist combine HCMC’s innovation ecosystem into global markets.

In Vietnam, Canva has dedicated to long-term funding to strengthen the digital artistic ecosystem by its 2026 strategic program, specializing in 5 key areas. These embrace collaborating with the federal government to advance nationwide digital objectives; supporting digital creativity coaching for younger companies and educators; selling partnerships in schooling and digital sectors; creating “Made-in-Vietnam” content material with numerous cultural illustration; and establishing a devoted crew and an official workplace in Vietnam.
