WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – The excessive school fall sports season formally acquired underway Monday with preseason observe.

One of the groups hitting the sphere: the Watertown varsity boys soccer workforce.

Coach Todd Heckman put his Cyclones by way of their paces on opening of observe, on the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds.

“It’s my favorite time of the year, it’s the first day of practice. All the kids are excited to be here. They looked great for the first session. Now for the second session we’ll play 11 on 11. They worked really hard in the summertime and we’re just glad to be here” – Todd Heckman, coach

“I’m really actually glad to be out right here. I missed it lots. We have been trying good. Our health has been actually nice and I’m glad to be again at it.“ – Trey Urf, participant

” I’m so excited to be back here. It’s a great group of people. Probably my favorite time of the year. It’s a beautiful day out here. Not too hot, not too cold, the sun is shining, grass is green. Beautiful out here – couldn’t ask for a better day.” – Teagan Buckley, participant
