On December nineteenth 2025, the Mission of China to the African Union, AU-IBAR and AU-PANVAC collectively organized the “Forum on Science and Technology for African Animal Resource Management”. Amb. Jiang Feng, Dr. Vilakati, AU Commissioner for AREB and Dr. Salih, Director for AU-IBAR, attended and addressed the forum.
Amb. Jiang Feng noted that China and Africa have extensive cooperation and broad prospects in animal resource management, and China is willing to support the development of Africa’s livestock industry and strengthen collaboration. Commissioner Vilakati thanked China for hosting the Forum and expressed hope that relevant Chinese enterprises and scientific and technological institutions would increase investment and support to Africa.
The Forum mentioned the wants, challenges, and future improvement of Africa’s livestock business. Representatives from Chinese enterprises showcased superior home vaccine manufacturing applied sciences and animal husbandry administration expertise, and engaged in discussions with related African departments concerning future investments and scientific and technological cooperation in Africa.
