An officer responded to the Goldenson building round 2:48 a.m. and noticed two individuals fleeing the building after a hearth alarm was activated, based on the Harvard University Police Department.

On the building’s fourth flooring, it was obvious there had been an explosion – one which an arson workforce has initially assessed “appeared to be intentional,” police mentioned.

Boston police sweeped the building for “any additional devices” however none have been discovered, and no accidents have been reported, officers mentioned.

“The Harvard University Police Department is actively investigating this incident in coordination with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners,” college police mentioned.

Officials didn’t present particulars on the character of the explosion or any injury that will have resulted.

NCS has reached out to the Boston police and fireplace departments for added info.
