Dongguan’s newly established Great Bay University (GBU) was formally inaugurated on Saturday, multiple media outlets report. The publicly-funded establishment is positioning itself as a provider of high-level talent to the Greater Bay Area (GBA), in accordance to GBU president Tian Gang.

that GBU was positioning itself as a “science and engineering-based, small yet elite, high-level research-focused institution.”
The college’s first cohort includes 80 college students from 53 center faculties throughout 16 cities in Guangdong province. Students should not have to choose a serious till their second 12 months, which Tian stated gave them time for tutorial exploration and to work out their strengths.
