Police have discovered a suspicious package within the space round Carl Shurz Park in higher Manhattan, near Gracie Mansion, a regulation enforcement official briefed on the state of affairs tells NCS.
A New York City Parks Department employee flagged the merchandise, one other official added.
The space has been blocked off and folks have been evacuated from the park whereas police examine.
