Government Reduces Federal Ministries to 18 | Ratopati

Kathmandu. The authorities has decreased the variety of federal ministries with the target of administrative reform, frugality, and making efficiency efficient. Now, solely 18 ministries together with the Prime Minister’s Office and Council of Ministers have been retained.

The Council of Ministers assembly held on Baisakh 30 authorised the Government of Nepal (Allocation of Business) Rules, 2083, figuring out the brand new allocation of enterprise for the ministries. Similarly, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation may also stay as they’re.

The ‘Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation’ has been shaped by separating the science and know-how sector from the Ministry of Education to take care of innovation-related work. The authorities states {that a} separate ministry has been created to prioritize know-how, analysis, and invention.

However, there was a big restructuring of different ministries. The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Urban Development, and Ministry of Water Supply have been merged to type the ‘Ministry of Infrastructure Development’.

Similarly, sports activities have been added to the Ministry of Education to type the ‘Ministry of Education and Sports’. The youth sector has been included within the Ministry of Labor to give it the title ‘Ministry of Youth, Labor and Employment’.  The Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens has been expanded to embody gender and sexual minorities and social safety to type the ‘Ministry of Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security’.
