Best Workplaces for Commuters is a nationwide program that acknowledges organizations providing complete commuter advantages that assist cut back environmental affect, enhance commuting experiences, and help worker well-being. 

“This recognition reflects the intentional work happening across all of our campuses to make commuting easier, more flexible, and more sustainable for our employees,” stated Josh Cantor, director of parking and transportation. 

George Mason’s continued inclusion on the Best Workplaces for Commuters record displays its ongoing funding in sustainable transportation, versatile commuting choices, and a campus tradition that prioritizes accessibility and high quality of life. 

The Science and Technology Campus grew to become eligible for recognition this yr as a result of rising quantity of staff on campus, boosted by the opening of the Life Sciences and Engineering Building final yr.

“We are especially proud to see the SciTech Campus recognized independently and to continue advancing innovative solutions that improve the daily experience for our campus community,” Cantor stated.

Faculty and employees in Auxiliary and Business Services and Parking and Transportation help progressive commuter packages and technology-forward options across all of George Mason’s campuses. At Mason Square, this lately included the implementation of a new parking storage expertise system, streamlining parking entry across a number of garages and enhancing the commuter expertise.
