At least 4 persons are useless and 90 others are trapped underground after carbon monoxide levels “exceeded limits” in a coal mine in northeast China on Friday night time, in line with state media.
Rescue efforts are persevering with on the Liusheyu coal mine in Changzi City, Xinhua News reported. The accident occurred at 9:43 p.m. native time (9:43 a.m. ET) when 247 employees had been underground.
At least 157 folks – together with the 4 useless – had been evacuated by 3:33 a.m. native time on Saturday, in line with Xinhua.
At least 16 of these nonetheless trapped are in “critical condition,” state media reported.
