Don Lemon, an unbiased journalist who previously labored for NCS, has pled not guilty to fees of violating federal civil rights protections when a protest interrupted a worship service in a Minnesota church in January, the Associated Press studies.
Lemon appeared in courtroom Friday as certainly one of 5 individuals arraigned in the case. He entered a not guilty plea and did not provide additional remark in regards to the case to reporters outdoors.
Lemon stated he was overlaying the protest as an unbiased journalist when demonstrators confronted a pastor at Cities Church in St. Paul, whom they accused of being an immigration enforcement agent. The protection drew backlash from conservatives, who accused him of taking part in the protest.
In January, Lemon was arrested “in the middle of the night” by a workforce of federal brokers whereas he was in Los Angeles to report on the Grammy Awards.
He was released on a private recognizance bond. Speaking to the media instantly following his launch, Lemon stated, “I will not stop now, I will not stop ever.”
