WICHITA, Kan. (KOLN) – A former Lincoln sports reporter has been accused of killing her mom, in accordance with police and metropolis officers.

Sedgwick County officers stated 47-year-old Angelynn Mock was arrested on suspicion of first-degree homicide within the stabbing of her 80-year-old mom, Anita Avers, early Friday morning.

Records present Mock labored as a sports reporter at ABC 8 KLKN in Lincoln, Nebraska, from November 2002 to February 2004.

Wichita police stated officers have been referred to as at 7:52 a.m. to a report of a stabbing at a southeast Wichita house. They discovered a suspect outdoors the residence. Inside, officers discovered Avers unresponsive in her mattress with a number of stab wounds.

Sedgwick County EMS transported Avers to an area hospital, the place she was later pronounced useless.

Police stated the suspect, later recognized as Mock, was taken to a hospital for remedy, then booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on a first-degree homicide cost.
