Former Disney CEO Michael Eisner on Friday issued an announcement supporting Jimmy Kimmel, whose late-night present has been suspended indefinitely by Disney’s subsidiary ABC for feedback the host made concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk.
Eisner, in a tweet, blasted Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr for “out-of-control intimidation” of ABC and Disney within the hours earlier than the community stated it was yanking “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” off the air on Wednesday night time.
“Where has all the leadership gone?” requested Eisner.
“Maybe the Constitution should have said, ‘Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, except in one’s political or financial self-interest,’ ” Eisner quipped in his publish on X.
“By-the-way, for the record, this ex-CEO finds Jimmy Kimmel very talented and funny.”
