A staff of Cal Poly Pomona food science and technology college students has gained the Pacific Southwest College Bowl for the fourth consecutive 12 months.

Jason Soldo (staff captain), Enrique Govea, Siane Kung, Alexander Gomez, Nicole Lam, Jakob Bathon, and Janet Dao beat out groups from Chapman University and San Diego State University.

The College Bowl challenges college students on their data of meals science and expertise, the historical past of meals and meals processing, meals regulation and basic food-related trivia.

By successful the regional competitors, the Cal Poly Pomona college students have earned the fitting to compete within the National College Bowl in July at the Institute of Food Technologists annual convention in Chicago.

The College Bowl was sponsored by the Institute of Food Technologists Student Association (IFTSA). It was held on March 14 at Chapman University in Orange.
