Family reacts to death of Dr. Janell Green Smith, a Black midwife who died after childbirth

Dr. Janell Green Smith’s life was devoted to discovering options to the disaster of Black girls dying in childbirth. That was till she herself died simply days after giving start to her daughter. One of Dr. Green Smith’s members of the family, Dr. Nichole Wardlaw, who is a midwife herself, talks to NCS about her legacy and the disaster nonetheless going through many pregnant Black girls at this time.
