Fakir Mahbub urges young scientists to apply overseas knowledge to nat’l development

DHAKA, April 4, 2026 (BSS) – Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and Science and Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam immediately referred to as upon young scientists to apply the knowledge and expertise gained from greater research overseas to nationwide development.

He made the decision whereas inaugurating the two-day sixth Young Scientist Congress on the National Science and Technology Complex within the capital’s Agargaon.

Young scientists from throughout the nation are showcasing analysis, innovation and prospects in synthetic intelligence on the congress.

The minister mentioned young scientists are the longer term leaders and should play an important position within the nation’s progress by analysis, innovation and creativity. 

He famous that science and know-how are key drivers of financial progress, nationwide safety, sustainable development and human welfare.

Speaking on the event as particular visitor, Science and Technology Ministry Secretary Md Anwar Hossain mentioned the federal government has taken initiatives to set up a nationwide AI institute, specializing in knowledge safety and its utility in sectors comparable to agriculture, healthcare, training and trade.

UGC Chairman Prof. Dr. Mamun Ahmed mentioned young scientists are the driving power within the period of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The congress contains periods, analysis shows, panel discussions and know-how exhibitions.
