The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a brief flight restriction instantly halting all flights to and from El Paso International Airport in Texas and an space of southern New Mexico for 10 days.

According to the FAA’s web site, the pause over El Paso and Santa Teresa, New Mexico, is because of “special security reasons.”

El Paso International Airport, which issued a notice late Tuesday, stated all business, cargo and normal aviation flights could be grounded till February 20.

The FAA issued the restriction “on short notice” and airport workers has reached out to the company for additional steerage, the airport stated in one other assertion to NCS affiliate KFOX.
