Emirates has resumed flights to and from Dubai after a brief suspension on Saturday morning.
The service introduced simply after 11am on Saturday, 7 March, that it might be suspending all flights to and from Dubai “until further notice”. However, 30 minutes later, it said flights would resume as planned.
“Emirates will resume operations,” its assertion mentioned. “Passengers who’ve confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights could proceed to the airport. This contains prospects transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flight can be working.
“We would like to thank our customers for their understanding and patience,” it added. “The safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and will not be compromised.”
Shortly after the suspension was introduced, Dubai Media Office launched an announcement on X, studying: “For the safety of passengers, airport staff, and airline crew, operations at Dubai International (DXB) have been temporarily suspended. All procedures are being managed in line with established safety protocols.”
Emirates’ flight schedule from Dubai International Airport was due to increase on Saturday, taking its flight network back to 60 per cent of its usual operations. In a statement released on Friday evening, the airline said it expected to be back to 100 per cent of its route “in the coming days”.
