Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (IC), Ministry of Science & Technology will inaugurate the First International Conference on Science & Technology (S&T) Clusters – “Making Lives Easier through S&T”, on 4 – fifth December 2025 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi.

The convention is organized by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (OPSA) to the Government of India and can witness participation from round 30 nations. The convention goals to foster world collaborations within the Science & Technology ecosystem.

The occasion will convey collectively senior authorities representatives, diplomats, policymakers, main scientists, business leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs. Key discussions will focus on how S&T improvements are being deployed to handle urgent societal challenges, together with demonstrations of impactful, scalable options developed throughout the S&T clusters.

The S&T Clusters initiative is a flagship program of OPSA designed to convey collectively academia, business, startups, and authorities companies to co-create science and know-how pushed options for region-specific and nationwide challenges. Under this initiative, eight clusters have been established throughout India, together with RICH (Hyderabad), JCKIC (Jodhpur), PKCF (Pune), DRIIV (Delhi), BCKIC (Bhubaneshwar), BeST (Bengaluru), PI-RAHI (Northern Region), and Vizag S&T Cluster.

Science and Technology clusters, a flagship initiative of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, was conceived on the advice of the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) chaired by the PSA on discovering options to regional issues by means of S&T interventions by bringing collectively academia, business, startups, and authorities. This idea manifests taking over these issues just for which there’s a taker of the answer, and which in any other case couldn’t be solved by entities working in silos.

The S&T clusters symbolize a strategic leap towards fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the realm of science and know-how. Five of the eight at the moment established clusters have accomplished their first part, which targeted primarily on the underside two tiers. They are actually of their 2nd part, with elevated emphasis on world cooperation. The newer clusters even have world cooperation amongst their priorities.

These clusters throughout India are catalyzing innovation in various sectors, together with healthtech, sensible agriculture, environmental sustainability, and industrial automation. Some of the notable outcomes of the clusters embody the facilitation of EV charging infrastructure in Delhi/NCR, the launch of AR/VR-enabled artisan market “Kalaanubhav.in”,” and the “One Delhi” digital transit app with over 3 lakh users. Health-tech innovations like diabetic foot screening foot-mats, One Health initiatives, waterbody rejuvenation efforts, e-waste management systems, and the development of pacemaker leads at AMTZ Vizag further demonstrate the scalable, high-impact nature of these collaborative solutions.
