A sea of Dolly Parton lookalikes descended upon the East Village on Friday evening for The Frankie Shop and Unemployed's fourth annual Halloween party.

The festivities paid tribute to the legendary country music icon, featuring a plethora of platinum-blonde bouffants, exaggerated bustlines, and an abundance of pink attire. Guests' creative interpretations of Dolly's iconic style were on full display as they mingled at the East Village bistro turned late-night hotspot, Ella Funt.

Downstairs in the basement club, the atmosphere was electric, with a spacious subterranean area that was a rare find in downtown Manhattan. The space was transformed into a vibrant celebration of all things Dolly, complete with wood paneling and hot-pink walls illuminated by a soft rosy glow.

Guests enthusiastically took to the sunken black-and-white checkered dance floor, but it was difficult to discern its surface beneath the sea of dancing Dolly Parton impersonators.

The sea of Dolly Parton impersonators on the sunken dance floor seemed to blend together in a colorful blur, making it challenging to discern individual styles beneath the crowd's enthusiasm.

However, as guests mingled and danced, creative interpretations of the country legend shone through. Some attendees, like Rita Ora, opted for traditional Dolly-inspired looks featuring double denim outfits reminiscent of Tennessee Tuxedoes.

Others drew inspiration from more iconic moments in Dolly's career, such as her 1978 Playboy cover appearance. Meanwhile, a few guests pushed the boundaries of interpretation, incorporating unexpected references into their costumes.

A pair of actors, Archie Madekwe and Dorian Grinspan, even brought to life Dolly, the world's first cloned sheep from 1996, by dressing up in matching sheep costumes.

The music at the Manhattan Halloween party was relentless, with Michael Jackson's "Thriller" getting the dance floor into a frenzy before segueing into Dolly Parton's greatest hits to keep the momentum going.

Gaëlle Drevet, founder of The Frankie Shop, had a simple philosophy for the night: life is short. It seemed her guests took this mantra to heart, as they came dressed in an array of creative costumes that paid homage to the country music legend.

The sheer number of Dolly Parton lookalikes was staggering, with over 250 people attending the party dressed in their best Dolly-inspired outfits, creating a sea of sparkles and glamour.
