Deputy Prime Minister Bae Meets Telecom CEOs for the First Time: Cutting Mobile Bills and Closing Security Gaps

Park Yoon-young mentioned, “We strongly agree with the policy intent behind the basic communication rights that the Deputy Prime Minister has emphasized,” including, “As a national telecom operator, KT will do its utmost to ease the burden of mobile bills so that people can enjoy high-quality telecom services, and we will prepare everyday AI services so that each person’s daily life becomes more convenient.”

Hong Beom-sik acknowledged, “We will thoroughly review security, which is fundamental to telecommunications, from the ground up to create an environment where customers can use our services with peace of mind.” He defined, “For the growth and wider adoption of the national AI industry, underlying infrastructure is more important than anything else, so under the LG Group’s technological capabilities, we will develop innovative solutions for power, cooling, and operations, which are core elements of AI data centers, and swiftly roll out models to secure AI infrastructure.”

Jung Jae-heon mentioned, “SK Telecom is doing its utmost to restore customer trust based on fundamentals and principles.” He continued, “We are making various preparations so that we can find future growth engines in AI, and through this meeting we hope to share our plans and work together to find solutions.”
