The airspace over Aalborg Airport in Denmark has been closed after drones had been noticed flying close by, airport CEO Niels Hemmingsen advised NCS on Wednesday.
At least three inbound flights have been redirected, whereas two outbound flights and one inbound have been canceled, in accordance with FlightRadar24.
Police are investigating and haven’t but decided who’s controlling the drones or what their objective is, Reuters reported.
This is the second time this week that an airport in Denmark has been compelled to shut attributable to drones.
On Monday, sightings of two or three giant drones close to Copenhagen airport halted all take-offs and landings for almost 4 hours.
It’s unclear if the drones that flew close to Aalborg Airport are the identical as those in Copenhagen.
Denmark’s National Police Commissioner Thorkild Fogde advised NCS Tuesday that they weren’t newbie or interest drones, however slightly giant drones that probably had a succesful operator, although police had not but recognized who was behind it.
In Norway, the airspace over Oslo Airport was closed for round three hours Tuesday morning attributable to a separate drone sighting. Fogde stated there was no indication the Copenhagen incident was linked to the drone sighting in Oslo.
