Construction crews continue to remove the East Wing of the White House as seen from the Washington Monument on November 14.

President Donald Trump applauded the ruling of the federal choose who indicated right now that he wouldn’t halt work on his multimillion presidential ballroom, the place the East Wing previously stood.

“We just won the case today,” Trump mentioned. “We get sued. We’re donating a $400 million ballroom, and we got sued.”

While Trump forged it as a whole victory, NCS reported that US District Judge Richard Leon left the door open to intervening sooner or later.

Upon saying the venture, the White House mentioned the ballroom would price roughly $200 million. In October, Trump mentioned it might price “about $300 million” and that $350 million was raised by means of non-public donations.

NCS has reached out to the White House inquiring if $400 million is the present estimate.

Trump mentioned the ballroom can be designed for inaugurations to return, which have traditionally occurred on the US Capitol.

“This ballroom is going to be amazing. It’s also designed to handle the inauguration, so that you have total safety from not only the weather, January 20th, there’s always a disaster,” Trump mentioned. “We had it in the Capitol, and there was nothing more beautiful. But from a safety standpoint, we can do better.”
