Ayton’s inventory was at all-time low, which is why he was obtainable for the Lakers to signal on the midlevel exception. (He didn’t even get everything of their MLE.) But there may not be a greater place for him to rehab his worth, as he’s now enjoying alongside three distinctive playmakers in Doncic, James, and Reaves.
