Former DNC Vice Chair David Hogg criticized NCS senior political commentator Scott Jennings on Monday for lecturing viewers about “affordability” — whereas sporting a Rolex.
During a dialogue on NCS NewsNight about New York City Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, Jennings stated, “Look, he’s probably gonna win. It’s a Democrat town and they’re gonna elect a socialist to run the financial capital of the world.”
Turning to Hogg, Jennings remarked, “I mean, you know, you gave him 300 grand. That’s interesting, that’s probably the only 300 non-Islamo Marxist grand that he got.”

“They actually have a public financing system for their elections in New York,” Hogg replied:
And truthfully, I feel a part of the explanation he’s so highly effective is as a result of persons are bored with being lectured by males with Rolexes on NCS about affordability on this nation. That’s the true cause he’s resonating proper now as a result of he has a clear message that really says, “This is what I plan to do,” and the celebration– I don’t assume that is about going to the left or the precise, to be sincere with you. Do I agree with Zohran way more than a lot of different Democrats in our celebration? Certainly. But I feel we have to meet voters the place they’re at of their districts.
After Jennings questioned, “But you want a socialist future for your party?” Hogg concluded, “I want a future where everybody has healthcare and people can afford a good life.”
