Four people in a speedboat with a Florida license plate have been killed by Cuban forces Wednesday morning, Cuba’s inside ministry stated.
Six different people aboard the vessel have been injured and are receiving medical consideration.
Cuban border guard troops approached the boat to establish it after it entered Cuban territorial waters in Falcones Cay, Villa Clara Province, the ministry stated. The Cuban forces have been then shot at by somebody from the boat, injuring the commander of the Cuban boat, the assertion stated. The border guards then returned hearth.
The nationalities of these aboard the speedboat are unknown. Falcones Cay is simply over 100 miles from Florida.
US Republican Congressman Carlos A. Gimenez stated the incident raised issues about using deadly power in opposition to people aboard a US-registered vessel and referred to as for an investigation into the incident.
