Creekside girls win Class 4A state track meet for first time in program history

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Creekside girls introduced the curtain down on the highschool state track and discipline championships on a wet Saturday at UNF, successful their first crew title to wrap the Class 4A meet.

The Knights received the ultimate occasion of the week, clocking a 3-minutes, 49.33-second time in the 4×400 relay to edge St. Thomas Aquinas by two factors for the crew title (47-45). Creekside excelled in the relays, taking second in the 4×800 and the 4×100. Shot put athlete Suin Crowley was additionally state runner-up.

Flagler Palm Coast’s Karina Marcelus had a wonderful meet, successful the triple soar (40-8.75), and ending as runner-up in the 100 hurdles.

For the boys, Creekside’s Josh Howell was runner-up in the 200, and Flagler Palm Coast received the 4×400 relay to headline a sixth-place crew end.
