Lawmakers will query power firm leaders and a high administration official engaged on essential minerals to debate technological leaps within the mining sector.

Thomas Lograsso, who directs the Department of Energy’s Critical Materials Innovation Hub on the Ames National Laboratory, will seem earlier than the House Science, Space and Technology Subcommittee on Energy alongside executives and lecturers targeted on mining.

Republican Rep. Brian Babin of Texas, who chairs the total committee, stated the hearing will consider next-generation power manufacturing, subsurface science and expertise, and demanding minerals innovation within the United States. Lawmakers, he stated, may also assess the federal authorities’s position in analysis and improvement.

“Advancing next-generation energy technologies and securing access to critical minerals are essential to strengthening America’s economy and national security,” Babin stated. “I look forward to hearing from our witnesses as we examine how to support innovation in these areas and ensure the United States remains a global leader.”
