A Colombian military transport plane that crashed on takeoff within the south of the nation was carrying more than 100 personnel, in line with Vice President Francia Márquez Mina.

The accident concerned a C-130 Hercules plane and occurred in Puerto Leguízamo, a city in Putumayo division, bordering Peru. The reason for the crash has not but been decided, Defense Minister Pedro Sánchez stated.

The plane was carrying 114 passengers and 11 crew members, in line with General Carlos Silva, commander of the Colombian Aerospace Force.

At least 48 folks have been rescued, he added.

A video geolocated by NCS exhibits the military plane taking off from Caucaya Airport and flying over a rural space moments earlier than it went down. The footage signifies the crash occurred much less than two miles from the airport.
