In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, Chaz Mootz profiles a Maple Grove baseball duo that has been productive on the plate all season.
Oliver Taynton and Beckett Shimpa have been dependable with the bats this spring for the Crimson.
In the common season, Taynton put collectively 26 hits, two dwelling runs, 14 RBI’s and has a batting common of .426.
Shimpa totaled 24 hits, six homers, 22 RBI’s and a mean of .353 within the 21-game common season.
Taynton is dedicated to play baseball at Marshalltown Community College and Shimpa will play baseball at Stanford.
