LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – As followers have watched the Nebraska males’s basketball staff this 12 months, so too has Nebraska native and artist Ashley Spitsnogle. The Licensed Husker Artist has been engaged on a portrait of the staff for slightly over a month.
“Why would I not take this moment and honor it in and through paint and through the process, and yeah, just to add to the story of it all,” she mentioned.

“It’s like a thrill. It’s a performance,” Spitsnogle mentioned as she continued engaged on her basketball piece. “And it’s something that if I’m well-prepared for it, which it’s very similar to sports where you prepare, you visualize, you like know what you’re gonna do. If I’m well-prepared, I go out there and I get hyper-focused and I paint and it’s thrilling.”
