CAA Softball Weekly Awards – March 10, 2026
RICHMOND, Va. – Drexel’s Kylah Reading and Hofstra’s Madison Steppe garnered CAA Player and Rookie of the Week honors, whereas Elon’s Anna Dew and Towson’s Olivia Trombley cut up Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
Player of the Week
Kylah Reading, Drexel
Sophomore | OF | Lenhartsville, Pa.
Reading hit .444 (4-for-9) throughout three video games with 10 RBIs, 4 runs scored, and two house runs as Drexel swept Maryland Eastern Shore. The Lenhartsville, Pa., native opened the sequence with a five-RBI efficiency, highlighted by a grand slam. Reading added a three-run house run within the second recreation of Saturday’s doubleheader and completed the weekend driving in double-digit runs whereas serving to the Dragons rating 37 runs in complete.

Dew helped the Phoenix go 3-0 this weekend to open CAA play versus North Carolina A&T. The junior received two video games within the sequence, posting a 1.14 ERA in 12.1 frames whereas putting out 18 batters. She pitched a whole recreation towards the Aggies on Saturday, matching her career-high with 10 strikeouts earlier than putting out eight extra in aid on Sunday.

Olivia Trombley, Towson

Trombley made two begins and pitched two complete-game shutouts on the Towson Tiger Invite final weekend. Trombley completed with a 0.00 ERA, 19 strikeouts and simply six hits allowed throughout 13.0 innings of labor. Against UMass Lowell on Friday, the sophomore threw all seven innings, permitting solely two hits and one stroll with 9 strikeouts within the 4-0 Towson win. On Saturday towards Central Connecticut State, Trombley threw six scoreless frames, permitting 4 hits with a career-high ten strikeouts.
Rookie of the Week
Madison Steppe, Hofstra
Freshman | P | Charlottesville, Va.
Steppe totaled 13 strikeouts in two full recreation victories with just one earned run allowed and a .109 opposing batting common in Hofstra’s sequence sweep of Stony Brook to kick off CAA motion. The Charlottesville, Va., native struck out seven Seawolves, surrendering simply 4 hits and an unearned run in Hofstra’s 2-1 win on Friday to open the sequence. She closed the sequence with one other 2-1 win on six strikeouts and only one hit allowed.
