RICHMOND, Va. (February 16, 2026) – Elon junior outfielder Vince Fattore acquired CAA baseball Player of the Week honors, whereas Campbell junior left-hander Lleyton Grubich was chosen because the CAA Pitcher of the Week. Monmouth freshman shortstop Sam Saucke earned CAA Rookie of the Week accolades.

CAA Baseball Player of the Week

Vince Fattore, Elon – Jr., OF – Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

Fattore batted .800 (4-5) with three doubles, a homer, three RBI’s and three runs scored in Elon’s three-sport sweep of Delaware. After getting out in his opening at-bat on Saturday, the junior reached base the remainder of the way in which. He delivered an RBI double in a 7-5 win in Saturday’s opener and adopted with two doubles and a solo homer as Elon took the nightcap, 17-4. Fattore additionally walked twice and had a HBP.

CAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week

Lleyton Grubich, Campbell – Jr., LHP – McHenry, Ill.

Grubich earned his first win of the season on opening evening, limiting Cal Poly to 1 run on 5 hits over 5.2 innings in Campbell’s 5-2 conquer the Mustangs. The left-hander struck out 4 and walked just one. He retired the primary eight batters he confronted and shut out the Mustangs over the primary 5 frames.

CAA Baseball Rookie of the Week

Sam Saucke, Monmouth – Fr., SS – Rochester, N.Y.

Saucke batted .500 (6-12) with two doubles, a homer, 4 RBI’s and 4 runs scored in Monmouth’s three-sport sequence at Richmond. In a 4-3 win on Friday, the freshman was 4-for-5 with three runs scored from the leadoff spot, together with the sport-successful run within the ninth. In the sequence finale, he opened the sport with a homer and completed 2-for-3 with three walks and 4 RBI’s.
