The Young Innovators Program encourages college students to pursue scientific analysis and innovation by supporting early-stage concepts with the potential to handle actual group wants. Since its launch in 2017, this system has acquired 513 functions and accredited 66 venture proposals from 187 younger innovators.
Among this system’s success tales is the journey of Engr. Jeremy De Leon, a former YIP grantee and now CEO of JereMAKE Innovations. De Leon is the person behind the award-winning make-roscope keychain that may enlarge samples from 265 to 400 occasions by attaching it to the front-facing digital camera of a smartphone or pill.
The 10 groups will transfer ahead within the analysis course of and will obtain as much as P500,000 in funding to conduct their proposed analysis projects, topic to endorsement of the PCIEERD Management Team and approval by the PCIEERD Governing Council.
Through YIP, DOST-PCIEERD continues to nurture younger Filipino innovators and assist remodel student-led concepts into science-based options for communities.
