Several members of the Lehigh neighborhood acquired an email at roughly 4 a.m. threatening violence on the Health, Science and Technology building, in accordance with a college Safety Bulletin.
The email acknowledged that, with help from state and federal authorities, the college decided the message was a false risk. Officials mentioned there’s no speedy or ongoing hazard to the campus neighborhood, and related messages had been acquired by different establishments.
The building was locked and safe in a single day previous to its scheduled 7:00 a.m. opening. As a precaution, the Lehigh University Police Department elevated its presence across the building and continues to work with state and federal companies on the investigation, in accordance with the email.
University officers issued a Safety Bulletin to tell the campus neighborhood, emphasizing transparency and stating there’s no indication of a right away or ongoing risk.
