Analysts estimate the war against Iran is costing American taxpayers greater than $890 million a day, based mostly on recognized navy operations and congressional cost estimates. The spending covers air and naval operations, floor forces, weapons programs and missile interceptions, with the early part of the battle proving the most costly. Experts warn the complete cost might rise sharply if the battle continues or expands to incorporate US floor troops. NCS’s Tom Foreman experiences.
