A teenage boy has been seriously injured in a stabbing at a school in Nottingham.

Police stated officers have been known as to Nottingham University Academy of Science and Technology (NUAST) in Dunkirk Road at round 1.30pm on Thursday.

The 15-year-old was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre with severe accidents.

Another 15-year-old boy was arrested at the scene. It is known the 2 youngsters are identified to one another.

Nottinghamshire Police Superintendent Chris Pearson stated: “This is obviously an unsettling incident to occur on school grounds, and we are working closely with NUAST.”

He stated there may be nothing to recommend the incident is linked to “the national ‘School Wars’ social posts”, a viral social media development which inspires pupils from totally different faculties to assault one another.

The injured boy’s household “will be supported by specially trained officers”, the superintendent stated, including the incident “is likely to cause alarm and distress” domestically, “especially for parents and pupils in the area”.
