FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) – The Board of Trustees for Highland Community College unanimously approves a multi-million greenback expansion of the school’s sports constructing.

The venture is estimated to value $38,000,000.
The college’s Sports Building, or Building S, was constructed to fulfill house wants for each Highland Community College and the YMCA within the early Eighties. Leaders say over time, sports choices by HCC and applications supplied by the YMCA outgrew the present facility.

The YMCA vacated the school’s Sports constructing and the Child Care/Training Center (Building I), shifting to a separate location.
HCC says the YMCA’s emptiness means it could renovate the prevailing house to accommodate its wants.
The faculty should now get a Stephenson County constructing allow for brand new building.
